Ohrimenko H. Development of the resourcez-economy technology of the sizing of the cotton yarns.

Subject of investigation is the process of the sizing cotton yarn by the starch sizing solution; the aims is developmen of the low- temperature method of preparation of the starch sizing solution and making on its base the resourcez-economy technology of the sizing of the cotton yarns; the methods are rheology and microscopic study of the sizing solution, gel-filtration analysis, colloid-chemical method of raising adhesion of the size to the cotton yarns based on the increased surface activity of the sizing solution. At first are shown, that the modification of the natural starch by the caustic soda and using an intensive mechanical treatment of the size allow to get a high degree of cleavage of starch in the sizing solution at the temperature 18-20 С. The low- temperature mechanochemical method of preparation of the starch sizing solution was developed, the cost of textile goods has been decrease on the account of reducing of starch in 1,5-2 times and excluding a heat treatment of starch when preparing the sizing solution. Manufacturing testing at Kherson and Ternopol textile factories has positive result. Sphere jf use is sizing works of cotton industry.
