The problems increase of technical maintenance efficiency medium speed diesel 6ЧН40/46,with requirements of the International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and Pollution Prevention (ISM Code). Diagnostic models (DM) of providing the safety given indexes of maintenance parameters reliability as load function an operating age are worked and put into practice. A problem of the scientific substantiation of organization-technical measures on maintenance of medium speed diesel engines operation of production tradecourts during service period without the overhaul. Thus the ISM Code requirements are allowed. The rezultes are put into practice. A field of application:technical fleet vaintenance.
