Essay

The object of the research is the air coolers of ship refrigeration systems. The aim is increasing the heat efficiency of air coolers. The methods of investigation are physical and mathematical simulation. The main theoretical and practical results are the following: the use of tube-plate air coolers with plate step of 4…6 mm provides an increase in heat transfer intensity by 20…30 %, corresponding reduction of the energy losses, caused by the final temperature difference in the air coolers, and decrease in the fuel consumption of refrigeration systems by 8 10 % and of the ship on the whole by 1…3 %. The results of the work have been applied at the plant "Ecvator" and scientific-research institute "Taifyn".
