Essay

For the first time on the basis of systemic approach the research presents a complex characteristic of prevalence and outcomes of rheumatism as mass and infections - allergic disease among city dwellers, shows the effect of rheumatism on the quality of patients' lives, temporary invalidity, invalidism and mortality, determines its demographic and economic consequences. Risk factors connected with rheumatism have been studied and on their basis a prognostic system, employing Vald's sequential analysis and Bayes' probabilistic method has been elaborated for the purpose of detecting at risk groups of rheumatism occurrence, while conducting medical examinations. The application of such system in practice raises the efficacy of preventive check - ups almost 3 times. On the basis of studied material conclusions have been drawn and practical recommendations have been formulated aimed at preventing rheumatism and improving medical service of this cohort of patients.
