Object of the study: wound processes with various course. Purpose: To improve the efficacy of treatment of purulent inflammatory changes and to work out the measures to prevent surgical wound complication on the basis of evaluation of eubiotics influence on the course and consequences of the wound process with determining objective criteria and the role of dysbiotic disorders of the intestine in development of purulent inflammatory complications. Methods of investigation and equipment: To verify the diagnosis of acute ileus due to adhesions, the patients were done ultrasound, x-ray study, and duodenomanometry. Immunological study of lymphocytes, microscopic evaluation of the peritoneum involvement and formed elements of exudate were performed. Theoretical and practical results: A complex of measures for treating purulent inflammatory diseases which provide adequate surgical interventions was suggested. Prognostic criteria for development of post-operative purulent inflammatory complications and evaluation of the character of the wound process course were worked out. Novelty: For the first time it has been shown that intestinal dysbacteriosis affects wound process and is responsible for its unfavorable course. It has been determined that the prognostic criteria for possible development of wound complication is inhibition of the immune system activity and disturbances of its regulatory mechanisms. Degree of introduction: The results of the study were introduced into the practice of surgery departments of City Hospital for Urgent Medical Aid (Kharkiv), therapeutic process of the Institute for General and Emergency Surgery of Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine (Kharkiv), Central District Hospitals in the towns of Zmyiv, Merefa, Nova Vodolaga (Kharkiv Region).
