The dissertation is devoted to the problems of employment policy in transition economic system of Ukraine. The essence, types, macroeconomic tools and factors of employment policy are investigated. The points of view on government regulation of employment in the world economic policy are critically analyzed. A significant attention is paid to the study of principles of government regulation of employment in transition economics. The ways of overcoming the negative tendencies on the home labor market are proposed.
