Object: socioeconomic development of region. Aim: the substantiation of paths of improvement of the mechanism of regional economic policy, development of the practical recommendations concerning of its realization. Methods: abstract-logic, economic-statistical, rated-constructive, balance, system analysis. Results: the methodological approaches to a research of features of becoming and development of regional economic policy of Ukraine are profound, the prime structure of measures of regulation of economic development of region is justified. Use: for development and introduction of comprehensive programs of socioeconomic development of regions, in lecture rates.
