Object: an enterprise as an agent of economy. Aim: grounding of methodological tools which are adequate to the reflection of processes of functioning and reproducing of enterprises in the conditions of economic transformations. Methods: abstract-logical, economic-statistical, system-structural, functional analysis. Novelty: construction of model of strategic development of enterprise in the postprivatization period. Results: enrichment of category apparatus of economic theory, introduction of adequate theoretical tools. Efficiency: the results of research will foster the improvement of functioning of enterprises in the period of economic transforma-tions. Field of use: economics, practice of microma-nagement.
