Morozov N. Infectious keratoconjunctivitises in Cattle in South Ukrainian Farms

The object of study is red range cattle. The research methods are as follows: epizootologic, virologic, bacteriologic, serologic, immunologic, hematologic, biochemical, clinical and statistical. The aim of research is to study the distribution of pathogenic organisms and their etiologic structure, the clinical picture, the peculiarities of the epizootologic process and to improve therapy methods and the system of preventive measures during mass keratoconjunctivitis in cattle in the conditions of the South of Ukraine. The scientific novelty is that it is for the first time that the epizootologic situation of mass keratoconjunctivis in cattle has been studied on the Southern Ukrainian farms; its etiology; the peculiarities of its epizootic process and clinical signs have been found out; improvement has been achieved in the methods of sick animals treatment; a study has been carried out of the dynamics of the indices of the immunologic reactivity of sick calves organisms to a complex use of etiotropic, pathogenetic and stimulating agents. The results of this research can be applied on the farms with the unfavourable situation for infectious keratoconjunctivitis in cattle, in the educational and reasearch work.
