The complex of theory and applied questions of criminalistics in modern conditions is considered in the work. On the basis of analysis of the literary sources the conclusions the on the insufficient elaboration of the sys-tem of criminalistics functions and their concretizetion is grounded. And integral, complex and systematic investi-gation of genesis, contextual filling and spheres of realisa-tion of the main directions of the criminalistics activity, that reflect its social and scientific-research purpose is done in the work with the use modern scientific ap-proached. The studying of the ways of interactivity of science (criminalistics) and practice and the corresponding subject is carried out. The system of functions and concrete tasks of criminalistics is recreated on its basis. Thus the idea of scientific and social role of the branch of knowledge in the present stage of its development is considerably widening.
