The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the essence and developmental trends of resource preservation in Ukraine, as well as the main regularities of improving the economic mechanism of resource preservation operating in the expanded reproduction of transforming economy in Ukraine. Under consideration are the basic directions of qualitative perfection of the above mechanism and the management of resource preservation. Special attention is paid to the ways of creating effective financial policy and motivational and encouraging tools employed in the sphere of resource preservation. The author's propositions involve the creation of appropriate normative and legal basis as well as the structural and organizational support of resource preservation..
