Essay

The author showes that some distortion in the meaning-and-value aspect of a person's model of the world is an essential characteristic of a neurosis. This distortion leads to faults in this person's emotional attitudes to external objects and to him/herself, such faults resulting in difficulties of personality functioning. The most important ontents areas in a neurotic's psychosemantical space ("factorials") have been distin-guished, and the lists of valid factors, which determine the semantic filling of each factorial, have been composed. The procedures have been worked out to detect specific distortions in a neurotic's psychosemantical space and to compose, on this base, his/her psychosemantical map. The author proposes the recommendations how to use the data of psychosemantical study of a neurotic's personality in the psychocorrectional work.
