Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the problems of regulation of foreign direct investments in transitional economies by the example of the Visegrad Group states. It is a study into theoretical grounds of foreign direct investments, their evolution from classic to modern modifications, trends in development of the international foreign direct investments market and their influence upon transitional economies in particular the Visegrad Group states. It explores the specifics of state regulation of foreign direct investments, particularities of legislative provision of investment processes, and privatization in the Visegrad Group states. The author gives an assessment of the regulation of foreign direct investments in Ukraine in the context of market reforms and proposes concrete recommendations for the improvement of investment climate taking to consideration the experience of Visegrad Group states.
