Kostenko M. Criminalistic characteristics of contract killings.

This paper is a monograph-type research on criminalistic characteristics of contract killings. The author develops the structure of the criminalistic characteristics of contract killings. Its elements are: the way to commit and conceal the crime, place, time and circumstances of the contract killing, typical trace picture, the profile of the victim and the profile of the criminal (the customer, the performer and the mediator). Based on the case study and literature the author suggests the concept of the way to commit a contract killingї as well as provides classification for this category and identifies the complex of measures undertaken by the criminals. The author has developed the profiles of victims, customers and killers, as well as their social and personal characteristics. The mechanism of interaction of the elements of the criminalistic characteristics of contract killings developed by the author found application in the activities of the investigative agencies of the procuracy.
