Investigation of the physiological effects of the contents of heavy metals contained in the environment (mercury, lead and cadmium) on the functional state of the central nervous and cardiovascular systems of teenagers was carried out.Functional characteristics of central nervous and cardiovascular systems in teenagers was found depend on the mercury, lead and cadmium contents in hairs, at the levels below or slightly exceeding the permissible norm. The central nervous system in children demonstrated a higher sensitivity to the contents of heavy metals as compared with the cardiovascular system. Mercury displayed a widest scope of the physiological effects.
