The object of research - system of the socio economic attitudes(relations), which is in a condition of market transformation of economy in postsocialistic the countries. The purpose of research - theoretical definition of process becoming of new system of social protection the population inherent to market economy. Results, novelty: the social protection is determined, the methodology of research is profound, the basic reasons crisis of social protection of the population in transformation to economy are revealed, the forms of social protection of the economically - active population in transitive economy are classified, the optimum system of social protection is proved, the social partnership as institute of social protection of the population in Ukraine is determined.
