The dissertation is devoted to studying peculiarities of the content and structural - dynamic characteristics of the system of value orientations of students of pedagogical higher school. In the work the hierarchical structure and dynamics of the rank structures of terminal and instrumental values of students of various faculties are revealed. The classification of values developed by the author has helped to determine distinctions in the vital orientation of students of various faculties. The interrelation between value orientations and other personality, qualities are revealed. The using of obtained data should promote realization of differential approach to formation of a future teacher personality.
