Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to devised mathematical model, which describes forced vibration a floating disk (FD) on the oil film in the thrust plain bearing with a FD and with elastic collar. Calculation methods intended for designing a thrust group, has increased supporting ability and heightened capacity to resist to butt-end beatings of the hackle and to body warp are created. This thrust bearing is defended by the de-claratory patent and used in the rotors of gasturbine ship en-gines. Theoretical analysis of supporting ability and dynamic characteristics of the designed bearing is fulfilled. Identicity of the devised mathematical model is confirmed by experimental tests. The proposed technical decision enables to provide sta-bility of the hydrodynamic friction regime, to increase support-ing ability, reliability and economicity of thrust groups for ship turbomachine rotor.
