Essay

This thesis focuses on investigation of pedagogical conditions of foreign language knowledge testing conducting in the process of studying. The aims, priniples, functions, objects, types (subtypes), kinds (subkinds), ways, components and forms of testing, its role in the process of teaching / learning are determined. Also the conducting of oral testing, which includes the activity of interviewer, manager and testees is analysed. The main pedagogical conditions of testing cadets' knowledge in the foreign language are defined and examined. The interior mechanisms of the testin process are investigated, the concept of oral testing of cadets' communicative competence, demands for qualitative characteristics (authenticity, interaction, construct validity and stability) are worked out. The classification of tasks is given. The testing model of communcative competence in oral speech is proposed. The methodological recommendation for testing and test valuation are worked out. The main theoretical approaches ofthis thesis may be used in the process of improving the system of testing control.
