Essay

The thesis is devoted to the determination of VVER-1000 RPV steels fracture toughness. It has shown the dose dependences of a radiation embrittlement rate must take into account a nickel and manganese content. It has proved a statistical Master curve methodology can successfully be used for a direct determination of RPV steels fracture toughness in unirradiated and irradiated conditions. It has shown in the certain cases a normative approach underestimates essentially the RPV material fracture toughness. It has demonstrated the Charpy impact test results can be used to describe adequately a transition fracture toughness curve shift taking into account the material radiation strengthening.
