Thesis consists of: introduction, three sections, conclusion, list of literature and sources, 6 enclosures and index of names. This dissertation is based on more than 230 items of literature and archive sources, that has been introduced firstly in science circulation. This work is devoted to activity of Knygospilka (Booking Union) Co-operative Publishing House - one of the most influential Ukrainian publishing houses, existed in 20-30's years of XX century, during the historical period of "new economic policy"(nep) in the Soviet Union. The subject of inquiry of the dissertation is the phenomena named "co-operative and community book-publishing". For the first time this phenomena is regarded as a separate system, that at bottom was arisen from Ukrainian public initiative. Consequently national confirmation of Ukrainian people was happened in the all spheres its life (cultural, social, political). The subject of the work became different aspects of Knygospilka's activity as a main co-operative publishing organization in Ukraine during the "nep": socio-economic, historical and political functioning conditions, author's and reader's audience, interaction with other subjects of publishing and literary, commercial and information processes.
