Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of training of preparedness of the pupils of the school for disable for the future labour activity. On the basis of analysis of literary sources and the advanced experience of the schools for disable functioning it is determined that the majority of mentally retarded pupils get technical knowledge, practical skills and habits on the low and average levels of preparedness during the training period. They show the uniformity of movements, slowing down of tempo, weakness of reaction, diffidence, low level of fulfilling of the intellectual component of labour. In fulfilling of the labour process the pupils have great difficulties in task orientation, planning, successive fulfilling of operations and estimation of labour results. Insufficient level of development of professional and personal components of preparedness for the individual labour arouses the necessity for specific correctional and educational work directed to the overcoming of violations of psychic development characteristic for mentally retarded pupils. A very important didactic condition of this work is the integration of socially useful productive labour, extra-curricular activity into the system of professional education which provides necessary conditions for consolidation and broadening of technological knowledge, practical skills and habits, enriches social and labour experience of pupils, provides its transition into collective forms of labour. In its turn it stimulates the development of activity, independence, motivation of labour, forms positive relationship to the labour processes, creates space for the development of individual peculiarities and fulfils the role of formation and correction means. The dissertation shows the ways and psycho-pedagogical conditions of formation of technological knowledge, practical skills and habits, personal qualities in the system of professional training of pupils of the school for disable. The content and methodology of formation of preparedness of the futurelabour activity are developed.
