Essay

In work the comparative analysis native and cryopreserved of organ cultures of thyroid gland from newborn piglets is carried out depending upon the conditions of introduction and DMSO concentration, as well as freezing rate. We concluded the expediency of the use of 7% DMSO concentration while added under 4 C. The maximum integrity of endocrine material is provided by two-step freezing rate with 10 C/min up to -80 C with the subsequent immersion into liquid nitrogen. It was determined that under the conditions of reculturing the cryopreserved organ culture of thyroid gland from newborn piglets kept the ability to basal and stimulated secretion of thyroid hormones. Storage in low-temperature bank upto two years does not cause the authentic changes of functional characteristics of thyroid gland organ culture from newborn piglets. Transplantation of cryopreserved organ cultures of thyroid gland from newborn piglets to the animals with experimental hypothyroidism resulted in normalizing effectof the hormonal status of those.
