The object of research is the process of engendering and development of theory and construction of the agricultural technique. The subject of research is the history of the plow in Ukraine in the XIX - the beginning of the XX century. The tasks of research have been decided through common and special scientific methods of research. It was tabulated the chronology of a plow's construction and theory development for the fist time; reconstructed the history-science view of the plow's evolution in the world context; reflected the Ukraine's contribution in the history of the plow's development in the XIX - the beginning of the XX century
