The dissertation is devoted to problems of the ritual aspects of the folk medicine practice of the Slavonic population of the South-West Ukraine. Such problems as part and conditions of the existence the medicine rituals in traditional culture, its transformations, the position of folk doctors in traditional culture, categories of the health and the illness are researched on the basis of a wide range of written and field sources. It was researched the structure of the medicine ritual.
