Essay

Object: development of small cities as complex multifunctional formations in borders of TES of regions under conditions of transformation changes. Aim: development of theoretical-methodical rules, scientific and practical recommendations for formation of the effective organization-economic mechanism of development and functioning of small cities. Methods: system, factor analysis, methods of statistical, typological grouping, expert methods. Results: theoretical bases of research of small city is profound, the technique of the system analysis of resource potential of small cities is proved. Use: at realization of the Concept of state regional policy, nation-wide program of socio economic development of small cities.
