Object -self-presentation phenomenon as the form of personal self-presentation; the purpose- to analyse feature of social - psychological competence of children of elementary-school age in sphere of personal self-presentation strategy; methods - the theoretical analysis of the scientific literature, natural and psycological and pedagogical experiment, tests, questionnaires, conversations, a method of expert estimations, hypothetical situations, methods of statistical processing; Novelty - it is opened essence of the theory of self-presentation, its sources, stages of becoming, the basic achievements in this area, the self-presentation approach for the analysis of social development of the child is used, dynamics of development of cognition-motivational and behavioural structures of the given strategy is tracked, features of interrelation between comprehension of self-presentation motivation and a level of development of intelligence of the child are established, specificity of behavioural changes underinfluence of action of self-presentation motivation is analysed, the measure of conformity of presentation self-displays of children to structures of the self-concept is found out; ways of increase of social - psychological competence of elementary-school children to sphere of self-presentation are allocated; Results- the theoretical analysis of a problem of self-presentation, the basic approaches to studying ageing aspects of the phenomenon both in domestic, and in a foreign science is made, conditionality of features of realization of self-presentation strategy is proved to features of social knowledge of the child; the author's program of research of development of self-presentation at elementary- school age is developed; the basic features of development of personal self-presentation in this period are established; presence of unfortunate trends in functioning a self-presentation phenomenon is revealed during the given age period; the program of correction of ineffective and risky forms of self-presentation is developed and approved; it is introduced into practice of work of psychologists and teachers of initial classes of comprehensive schools, educational process of high school; sphere of use- pedagogical and psychological preparation.
