Essay

The dissertation is devoted to one of fundamental and most complicated problems of modern journalism. The complex system approach is applied for of detailed studying of problem of press freedom. In the research content of freedom of press is concretized, essence of given freedom is revealed. Definitions of concept of freedom of press are formulated and analyzed. The problems of correlation freedom of press, freedom of speech, freedom of idea, freedom of expression, freedom of mass media, freedom of mass information, freedom of journalistic activity are researched. For the first time in Ukraine it is determined fourteen aspects of problem of press freedom and the essence of each of them is characterized.
