Essay

The thesis is devoted to the solution of a scientific task consisting in the development and debugging of three-dimensional calculation models of Chornobyl NPP nuclear hazardous facilities - RBMK reactor, spent nuclear fuel storage facility ISF-2, fuel-containing masses of the Object "Shelter". The developed models adequately reflect both all the design features, mass content parameters of the calculation objects and neutron-physical processes in these objects. The paper shows that application of proposed procedures and approaches will make it possible to optimize the costs of decommissioning Chornobyl NPP reactors, enhance the nuclear safety in the management of spent nuclear fuel and fuel-containing masses of the Object "Shelter".
