Essay

Object of the resurch - wedding ritual of the central part of Ukrainian Polissia. The main aim to make the historical and ethnographical analysis, find the invariant, areal variants,study the semiosphere of ritual categories of time, space, atributs and personages. The methods: field ethnography, structural, typological, semiotical. The results may be used in cartography, study and research effort. The dissertation is the first try to reconstruct the wedding ritual of the Central Polissia. It was made on published and archive sources and on field ethnography material of the author.
