Kanivec E. Households in conditions of transitive economy

Object of research: economics of households at macro- and micro-levels. Purpose of research: determination of theoretical and methodological fundamentals of households economies under conditions of non-equilibrium systems, development of adaptation mechanisms of households economies to market management principles in Ukraine. Methods of research: formal logics; historical and logic method; system approach. Results: definition of households economy that accounts for functioning specificity in different economic systems is improved; grounded conclusion that households is productive and consuming association of individuals, united by the goal to perform the function of human capital reproduction is performed; defined that current institutionalism allows to study processes of market relations formation in present day Ukraine at the level of households economies; the basic types of economic behavior of households economies in transitive economy are identified; was drawn the conclusion that within transitive economy act households economies of natural type, goods type and socially-market type depending on the level of their adaptation to new conditions of management; defined and classified factors that affect the behavior of households economies; shown, that in economic activity of household economies priority belongs to socio-cultural and socio-psychological informal regulators comparatively to formal institutions; proved, that the routines, due to inclination to inheritance, explain passivity of household economies transition to market management type; author conception of household economies support system is worked up. Implementation of the conception allows speeding up a process of socially-oriented economy formation in Ukraine. Novelty: for the first time: the basic types of economic behavior of household economies in transitive economy are identified; concluded that basic characteristics and functions of household economies in economy in transition determined by level of its transformation from command into market; defined and classified factors that affect behavior of household economies; shown, that in economic activity of household economies priority belongs to socio-cultural and socio-psychological informal regulators comparatively to formal institutions; author conception of household economies support system is worked up. Improved: determination of household economy accounting for the specificity of its functioning in different economic systems; got further development: implementation of neo-institutional theory methodology to analysis of household economies in economy in transition; notion that consumption structure in household economies determines, foremost, by routines, which are inherited from individual to individual due to inclination to inheritance.
