The dissertation is devoted to the problem of didactic provision of the process of formation of psychological-pedagogic competence which is an important component of vocational training. The essence of "professional competence", "competence of the subject", and the structure of psychological-pedagogical competence. The complex research technique of the existing structural components of psychological-pedagogical competence of would-be teachers of economics is developed. Levels of formation of psychological-pedagogical competence of students as would-be teachers of economics are analyzed. Didactic conditions of increasing the level of their formation are analyzed; the data concerning the influence of particular didactic conditions on the level of psychological-pedagogical competence formation are systematized and generalized. The program of training in the process of psychological-pedagogical training is experimentally checked.
