The object – the professional training of future teachers. The aim – to substantiate theoretically and approve experimentally the effectiveness of educational modular technology in forming professional competence of future English teacher. The methods – theoretical, empirical, statistic. The results and novelty – elaborated educational modular technology of training future English teachers and pedagogical conditions of its effective realization; didactic model of forming professional competence of future English teachers by means of educational modular technology; specified concept “educational modular technology”, “educational modular system”, “modular training”, “modular approach”, “professional competence of future English teacher”, “competence”, “authority”; ascertained criteria and level characteristics of professional competence of future English teacher; developed methods of realizing modular principle.
