The dissertation is devoted to solving regional problems of the sustainable development and to working out the conceptual propositions of sustainable social-economic development. The modern scientific and theoretical approaches to solving regional problems of sustainable development were researched. Conceptual model of sustainable development of the Crimea was created, analysis of social, economic and ecological preconditions for sustainable development of the Crimea were conducted, basic economic and social development tendencies for resent period and some aspects of using, saving and rehabilitation of the natural potential were exposed, regional specialization or the Crimea in the state division of labour was determined.
