Essay

The thesis was devoted to scientific elaboration of organizational aspects of Day hospitals activity in the conditions of Family Medicine. The tendencies of its development in Ukraine during 1991-2001 years and the prognosis evaluation of development to the year 2005 had been carried out. Its medical and economic efficiency and the need to improve and adaptive of its activity to principles of Family Medicine had been also detrmined. It had been worked the complex program for improvement of Day general hospitals activity under conditions of tranzition to Family Medicine. The main directions of subsequent development of Day hospitals, principles of its organization, improved organizational models of Day general hospitals, the order of hospitalization of patients, methods of calculation of need in day care beds, standards of medical care and methods of evaluation of Day general hospitals activity had been elaborated too.
