Medyns'ka Y. Collective unconsciousness as deep determinant of ethnic mentality

Object - collective unconscious as deep psychological factor for the features of ethnic mentality. Purpose and main tasks - theoretic authorization of the hypothesis about structuring of collective unconscious into separate levels which contents causes the psychological peculiarities of ethnic mentality: the elaboration of methodical inventory, optioning of operation procedures for the accomplishment of psychological experiment; analysis and interpretation of empiric data in combination with scientifically verified notions concerning the main features of Ukrainian mentality. The methods - theoretic analysis and modeling, experiment, analysis of contents, correlation analysis, qualitative interpretation. Theoretical results and novelty - there was firstly suggested the structural analysis of psychological apparatus according to which the collective unconscious is two-level; there was also proved the necessity of ethnic mentality definition as a form of manifestation for ethnically specified level of collective unconscious. The practical results are identified with an elaboration and probation of methods for training and therapeutic work with elderly groups being simultaneously an experimental inventory for cognition of deep psychological factors of ethnic mentality. The research results have been implemented in training and therapeutic work with the elderly people. The efficiency of implementation is likely to be high. The sphere of usage can be the practical activities of psychological service.
