Dissertation is devoted to the research on the phenomenon of music-performing thinking, which is examined in the context of students' piano preparation. The concept "music-performing thinking" has been made more exact, its content and structure have been concretized, psychological peculiarities and pedagogical conditions of development have been defined; the content of educational performing activity focused on the development of music-performing thinking has been analyzed; the complex diagnostics of development state of students' music-performing thinking has been worked out and applied in the pedagogical experiment; for the first time the methods of purposeful development of students' music-performing thinking in the process of the piano preparation has been theoretically grounded and verified in the experiment, on the base of it inner-musical and psychological technological peculiarities of artistic-creative performing, content-educational orientation to fundamental phenomenological constants as the object of knowledge has been laid down
