Essay

Research objects: representatives of Agaricaceae, pure cultures, nuclear rDNA sequences, fruit body extracts. Objectives of study: critical study of Agaricaceae on the investigated territory, analysis of taxonomic position and phylogenetic relationships of the section Duploannulatae, analysis of taxonomic position and phylogenetic relationships of Agaricus brasiliensis, investigation of biological properties Agaricaceae species. Methods of research: floriristical, comparatively-morphological, molecular-biological, statistical, microbiological. Scientific novelty: system of the Duploannulatae ss. S. Wasser was analyzed and taxonomic position of its rare and endemic species was verified; taxonomic position of the cultivar known as "Agaricus blazei Murrill ss. Heinem." was analyzed, new for science species Agaricus brasiliensis S.Wasser et al. was described, A. blazei Murrill ss. Heinemann strains were shown to be identical to A. brasiliensis; the name "A. subrufescens Peck" was lectotypified; the species composition of Agaricaceae of Israel was studied, the systematic analysis was conducted; 2 new for science species were described; vegetative stage of 20 Agaricaceae species in pure culture was studied; fruit bodies and vegetative mycelia microstructures were studied using SEM; anticarcinogenic activity of the low-molecular weight substances extracted from fruit bodies of 13 species was studied on 6 lines of 3 types of cancer, the extracts were most active against the leukemia cell line; data on the impact of the family Agaricaceae on nutrition and medicine were analyzed. Sphere of use: mycology, biotechnology, education.
