Essay

Micromycetes from ramial chipped wood (RCW) of deciduous trees (Acer platanoides, A. tatricum, Quercus robur) and their ecologically-biological properties in sod-podzol soil of Ukraine North Forest-steppe were studied. In total 172 micromycete species were isolated and identified, their biological and ecological role in decomposition of RCW, dynamics of micromycetes during RCW decomposition, and role of the enzyme and antibiotic production in colonization of both RCW and soil were revealed.
