Belous T. The Role of Idealization in Contemporary Formal Epistemology

The object is cognitive model of idealized agent; the aims - to investigate the role that idealization plays in the construction the formal models of beliefs and in "information-oriented" branches of logics including non-monotonic reasoning, to give a support to the fundamental role of idealization in modeling cognitive subject from the perspective of a theory of rationality; the method - analytical approach; the new approach lies in justification the idealization as appropriate method for epistemology as scientific area, we refer to doxastic part of epistemology as formal epistemology, which gives a model of static and dynamic of rational agent; the main - the AI is the appropriate methods for epistemology as equally the illustration of the effectiveness of logic in computer science; the field is modern analytical philosophy
