Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying theoretic and practical problems of employment in conditions of emerging information society. Economic essence and functional role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in economy as a factor affecting the employment and sustained socio-economic development have been revealed. Major characteristics as well as effective mechanisms of employment in socio-economic environment of modern information society - “new economy” - have been determined. Specific features of the latter, as well as particularities of its shaping have been studied. Innovative forms and types of employment have been considered, specific features of the labor market and the ICT role in its dynamic development have been found out.
