Essay

3. The thesis is a research into the style pattern of Y.Klen's poetic language creative activity considering its close ties with the corresponding world literature artistic and philosophical traditions; it finds out its style-forming factors, the processes of forming macro- and microimages in particular, notional versatility of poetic texts, ways of its intellectualizing, as well as the poet's individual treatment of the ideal and style paradigm of Kyiv neoclassics' creative manner. It points out language and style means of intellectualizing the artist's poetic speech which is remarkable by the language units of ethnomythological, culturological, historiosophical and philosophical character. The lexical system is characterized by the use of lexical groups differing both in their origin (conversational, old Slavic, dialect, low colloquial, borrowed) and duration and place of their existence in the language system (archaic, individually author's, historically and culturally marked). The newest tendenciesof developing modernist literature account for aesthetic usage of phonetic means. The poet uses semantically close words. The syntactic structure of Y.Klen's works which is characterized by the tendency of becoming more complicated is more stylistically distinct.
