Khobta O. The Odessa periodicals of art of the second decade of the XX century: the aspect of history and functioning and the interpretation peculiarities

The dissertation presents a complex research on the Odessa periodicals of art of the second decade of the XX century. It has generalized the experience of its predecessors. It also considered the general aspects of formation, development and functional conditions of this kind of press. The author has examined the contents of the periodicals, defined the hierarchy of the themes, analysed the appearance, the fullness with the graphic elements, determined the role of the press in the positive changes of the cultural and spiritual life of the society. The objective information on tne creative, organizational and management activities of the editorial board of that or another edition plays an important role in the investigation as well as the participation of the prominent writers, journalists and critics from Odessa (V. Kataev, Yu. Olesha, P. Pylskyj, E. Bagrytskyj, V. Narbut, F. Segal, L. Mytnytskyj and others are among them). Bibliography on Odessa theatre, musical, literary, satirical and humoristic, cinematographic and photo editions till 1920 is included to the supplement of the dissertation.
