The main theoretical and methodological principles of state regulation of labour market in transforming economy have been substantiated. The peculiarities of influence of a number of factors on labour market have been analyzed. The main problems of labour market formation in Lviv region in all its components, internal and external factors have been revealed. A number of measures as to the optimization of state regulation of labour market by means of the use of macroeconomic and institutional instrumentation.
