Essay

The thesis deals with linguistic and pragmatic peculiarities of main speech genres, which are realized within conflict discourse. The characteristics of conflict discourse and influence of certain factors on its course (such as an emotional pressure, speakers' interpersonal settings, and their communicative status) are considered. The global communicative strategies under the circumstances of conflict are determined and typology of confrontative speech genres accordingly to their communicative purpose is suggested. The criteria of speech genres differentiation are described in detail.
