Raica V. Newspaper "Volyn" and of the same name-publishing house (1941-1944): organizing, problematic and thematic aspects

The dissertation deals with research of the "Volyn" newspaper role as well as of the same name-publishing house (1941-1944) in social, political, economic, spiritual and cultural life of Ukrainian ans in the years of World War II, profound significance in affirming the idea of Ukrainian independence. Variety of topics in book production and magazines "Orlenya", "Ukrainskyi Khliborob" are being analyzed. Ulas Samchuk's sources and growth stages, journalist's works published in the "Volyn" newspaper, their thematic and stylistic peculiarities, the influence of the editor-in-chief in specific times of Nazy occupation as to formation of national conscience among readers and contribution into the struggle for renaissance of Ukrainian statecraft are to closer scrutiny. Considerable attention has been given to Ulas Samchuk's authentic material, its interpretation in the war time period, his enormous range of both general and special experience, his huge erudition and thinking deapth as a publicist.
