Object of research. Process of interaction of factors and conditions of the investment mechanism which provides formation and a direction of investment streams. The purpose of research consists in improvement of theoretical base of regulation of investment processes and in development of practical recommendations concerning improvement of functioning of the economic mechanism of regulation of investment activity at a level of the state and region. Research receptions. Methodology of the complex analysis, methods of comparison, the horizontal and vertical analysis; methods of the trends analysis; methods of the analysis and synthesis; methods of the economic - statistical analysis; a method of scientific generalizations. Novelty consists in: to development of the conceptual approach to definition priority's of directions of investment and a substantiation of the organizational circuit of the economic mechanism of regulation of investments on an example of region; improvement of approaches to stimulation and a deepening of the list of factors and conditions which prevent development of investment processes; specification of essence of investment mechanisms and existing methodical approaches to definition of investment characteristics of development of regions. Degree of introduction. The results of research received by the dissertator are introduced into practice of work Kharkov and Dergachi state administration, LTD "Kharkov ceramics ". Besides results are used in educational process in the Ukrainian state academy of a railway transportation.
