Gryza P. Provision of medical institutions with donor blood components and biopreparations motivation of Ukrainian Blood Service Reorganization

In this PhD thesis problems of development of donor service are compared in the world and in Ukraine. The activity of hematological and transfusiological establishments in Ukraine during 1994 - 2003 was analyzed. The lack of conformity of development of blood service in Ukraine to the needs of its medical institutions in providing them with blood components and medications obtained from plasma is shown. Modern requirements in components of donor's blood per one hematological hospital bed are grounded. The necessity of improvement of present hematological and transfusiological structure in Ukraine, as well as the possibility of home production of high-effective virus-free preparations of blood plasma are also substantiated. The calculations for a week supplies of medical institutions by donor's blood components with the purpose of their rational use and the ways for reduction of their utilization are conducted on the basis of modern methods. The introduction in hematological and transfusiological institutions of Ukraine of questionnaire of donor's anamnesis for higher quality selection of donors for implementation of their functions was proposed.
