The object - process of studding of Geography. To investigate of model formations of social and cultural knowledge among the pupils of the basis school in the process of studding of Geography of Ukraine. The dissertation present methods of formation of social and cultural knowledge among the pupils of the basis school in the process of studding of Geography of Ukraine. The aim, content, methods, activities and means of teaching, organization forms of teaching and control with the diagnosis are the components suggested by didactic system. The themes of the course "Geography of Ukraine" were analyzed concerning the social and cultural knowledge, their content was rendered concrete. The criterions and levels of formation of social and cultural knowledge were worked up taking into consideration individual's social competence and the civilization's building up.
