The object of research is the development of Olympic movement in Ukraine. The subject of research is public, historical and organizational aspects of formation and activity of National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.The aim of research is to reveal public, historical and organizational fundamentals of formation and activity of National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.The scientific novelty of research is the fact of using for the first time the archive documents of NOC of Ukraine and its entering into the scientific and information reference; the genesis of development of national Olympic committees is clarified; the historical reasons of formation of National Olympic Committee of Ukraine are determined; the organizational aspects of National Olympic Committee of Ukraine activity (since December 22, 1990 till June, 2004) are analyzed.
